Escape to the Country- What's it all about?

A few years ago now I moved to the country. I wasn't exactly running away but I did want to get out of the city for a while. So I landed in the country. That sounds very fatalistic but it was my decision, forced slightly by a dramatic change in circumstances. I plan to site this new phase of Little People in the place I have come to live. Cuddington and Sandiway calls itself a village but its a bit more sprawling and uncontained than I perceive a village as. I live on an ex council estate, built to house ICI workers in the 1950's. I guess that most of the people who came to live here came through choice but I know this not always to be the case when communities are relocated. My sticker people are moved against their will. Relocated without their knowledge. This happens to real people every day. Part of some government Pathfinder plan perhaps, their houses are knocked down and they are moved to a strange unfamiliar place with few of the community links they may have had before. Its an effort to improve areas which often becomes tainted by cynical motives. Its these ideas of relocation which I want to explore. I am also pondering on the urge by wealthier people with more choices to move to the country. What impact does this kind of "Escape to the Country" have on a community?
